With the political climate intensifying both in the United States and abroad, interest in understanding the trends in and solutions to our political world is growing dramatically. The Department of Government is the only comprehensive political science department at Cornell, yet it is also one of the most impactful in the world. As a student or friend of the department, you have played an important role in making the department one of the best places to address our shared political needs.
Throughout March 14, Cornell’s Giving Day is an opportunity to support the department’s teaching and research. The Department of Government is one of the biggest departments in the College of Arts and Sciences. Even so, the department is asked to support a portion of its operations with direct gifts from people like you. We focus gifts on things like bringing in outside speakers, underwriting undergraduate honors thesis projects, supporting classroom activity, funding graduate student research activities, replacing research infrastructure like computers, and more. Gifts of any size help us meet our annual needs.
We hope you will choose to support the Department of Government today as Cornell’s alumni, parents, and friends come together in answer of the question what difference can one day make?, and make a difference today for the students who turn to the department for the education they need to become tomorrow’s leaders.
