Overview

Martin Shefter’s teaching and research focus on American political institutions. He has taught lecture courses on the U.S. Congress and on American Urban Politics, as well as seminars on Contemporary American Politics and on the domestic politics of America’s wars. Several of his publications analyze how changes in the international system shape political institutions and the conduct of politics in the United States.
