2020 was a remarkably difficult year for all of us. From the global devastation of the COVID pandemic to the urgent demands for racial justice and the deepening political crisis in the United States, we have had to rely on each other to confront the many challenges of this unprecedented year. The Department has pulled together during this time to redouble our support for our undergraduate and graduate students, our faculty and staff, and to recommit ourselves to making our community a place of bold and purposeful research, outstanding teaching and advising, and principled commitment to inclusivity and justice.
In gearing up for Giving Day on Thursday, March 11, we hope you will consider helping us to further strengthen and expand our research and educational mission going forward. Your gifts to the Department help our faculty and students reach their full potential. Thanks to the generosity and support of our alumni, parents, and friends, your gifts increase student opportunities, create vital research and career experiences, and help us recruit and retain world-class faculty, who pursue frontline and timely research while teaching and mentoring our undergraduate and graduate students.
On Thursday, March 11, please help to make a difference for the Department community on Cornell Giving Day.
