Overview
Aaron Gold is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Government. His research focuses on international relations, conflict processes, and security studies, particularly interstate conflict, maritime security, domestic terrorism, and external support for non-state actors. His most recent work on maritime piracy and crime in the Indo-Pacific was funded by a Minerva Research Initiative grant sponsored by the Office of Naval Research at the Department of Defense. His research is published in the Journal of Conflict Resolution, International Interactions, Marine Policy, International Area Studies Review, Political Geography, and Conflict Management and Peace Science.
