Overview
Benjamin Segovia is a doctoral student in the Department of Government at Cornell University, specialising in political theory. His research interests include studies of populism, democratic theory, and new waves of authoritarianism, all approached through the lens of contemporary political theory and sociology.
Professional Experience
Before beginning his doctorate, he earned a B.A. in political science, a M.A. in political science with a specialisation in international relations, and a Diploma in philosophy with a focus on contemporary political philosophy and critical theory, all from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. He also worked as a teaching assistant for both the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and the University of Chile, and as a research assistant for Adolfo Ibáñez University. Later, he served as a lecturer, teaching courses on philosophy and politics at Adolfo Ibañez
