Catherine Reyes-Housholder has won this year’s APSA dissertation prize awarded by the Women and Politics Research Section for her dissertation, "Presidentas, Power, and Pro-Women Change.”
Mallory SoRelle, now at Lafayette College, was awarded the Esman Prize, and is the recipient of the E.E.Schattschneider Award for the best dissertation on American politics for her dissertation, “Democracy Declined: The Failed Politics of Consumer Credit.”
Kevin Duong has won the 2017 APSA Leo Strauss Award for best dissertation in the field of political philosophy, for his dissertation, “Democratic Terror: Redemptive Violence and the Formation of Nineteenth Century France.”
Robert Braun II has won the following awards:
-Ernst B. Haas Best Dissertation Award 2017, European Politics and Society Section of the American Political Science Association.
-Walter Dean Burnham Best Dissertation Award 2017, Politics and History Section of the American Political Science Association.
-Best Dissertation Award 2017, Human Rights Section of the American Political Science Association.
-Aaron Wildavsky Best Dissertation Award 2017, Religion and Politics Section of the American Political Science Association
